Friday Finds

Floating ranunculus

You know, if it weren’t for these Friday Finds posts that make me pause and think about what day it is, I’d completely lose track of time. Ā Guys, how is it already the end of March, what is happening.

It’s been really hot in LA and already feeling like full-blown summer, which is great, but also my cue to bring out the ac unit from storage. Ā Our apartment building is old and doesn’t have central air, which I won’t bore you to death complaining about it, but it’s seriously about to get sweaty at home. Ā It’s got me thinking mostly about being outdoorsĀ and staying cool this weekend.

K here’s some fun stuff!:

In case you missed it, above are the ranunculus from this week’s spring tablescape post.

Just got these earrings and they’re amaaaazing.

Adding this home tour to my list of all time favorites. Ā It sealed the dealĀ that glam but livable is the style I want.

ImpressiveĀ engagement shoot, but the link in the comments section made me laugh.

A compilation of Spring cleaning tips from some of my favorite bloggers, and one’s from me :D

I’d like 100 of these.

Most beautiful Easter eggs.

This family makes 600 sq ft look pretty darn good.

I mustĀ remember to watch this whenever I’m having a bad day.

Happy weekend, guys. Ā Hope you’re up to something good. Ā ALSO, if you have any book recommendations, just anything you consider a must read, let me know about it. Ā I’m always on the hunt for a good read!

  1. LOVE Friday finds FYI. I’m not sure how much you like non-fiction but my favorite book at the current moment is “The Confidence Code”. I’ve always been really unconfident in my classes and at work (I work and studied in the STEM fields) that were heavily saturated with men and this book made me realize I don’t have to set up my own traps.

    Happy Friday!

    1. AWESOME that you love Friday Finds. I love it too, it’s a lot of fun for me :)
Excellent timing with your book suggestion. I’ve been hung up with some recent disappointments that had me questioning my confidence. I need to read that book. Thanks so much for your suggestion Anna, and Happy Friday!

  2. Yes, please give me 200 of those bud vases. And that dog. How freaking cute. Oaks would love that! Or try and eat it. ha. And AC really?! Ugh it was 25 here today :( I need sunshine! Have a fab weekend!

    1. If you try it on Oakley you HAVE to record it. Then show it to me :)
25 degrees!! Sorry girl, i wouldn’t be able to deal with that.
      Happy weekend <3

  3. Loved these links!

The books I’ve been recommending over and over to friends are the “All Souls Trilogy” ā€” A Discovery of Witches, Shadow of Night, and The Book of Life ā€” by Deborah Harkness. They’re so well-written, and have magic, mystery, love, adventure, and touches of history (Harkness is a history professor at USC).

Here’s a good summary from her website: “The All Souls Trilogy follows the story of Diana Bishop, a historian and reluctant witch, as she solves the mystery of Ashmole 782, falls in love with a mysterious vampire named Matthew Clairmont, and learns how powerful it can be to accept who you are.”

    1. I saw the word “vampire” in the summary and I’m already intrigued. Vampires are my guilty pleasure, HA! Thanks for the suggestion, Katharine!

  4. Your Friday Finds are always wonderful – thanks for posting the links! That doggie link was too funny! And, yes, LA has been quite hot. Frozen fruit is quickly becoming my best friend again :)

    1. NICE, so happy to hear you’re enjoying Friday Finds, thank you! I’m sitting here sweating as I type- hope you’re finding ways to stay cool this weekend, too.

  5. I’ll have to watch the video you recommend to watch when having a hard day. This momma is pooped! Then I just finished “listening” (I use audible) American Sniper (a-ma-zing) and “Heaven” by Randy Alcorn. Hugs girl!

    1. Ah, been meaning to see American Sniper, but might also just listen to it when I’m in the car, that’s a good idea. I’ve read a book like Heaven before, really interesting read. I’ll give it a try, thanks for the rec, Ursula!
