DIY Pom Pom Heart Treat Bags

DIY Valentine's Day Pom Pom Heart Treat BagsIt doesn’t get much more traditional Valentine’s Day than this! Ā I’ll always love a classic red heart and the way it can stand alone and still be so bold. Ā Combined with my other love for pom poms, I put together these mad cuteĀ Valentine’s Day treat bags you can hand out to friends, coworkers, or people you don’t know very well ;).

As small as an embellishment like this is, that little extra step can make the simplest gestures that much more special. Ā So while we’re more than three weeks away from Valentine’s Day,Ā there’s a good amount of time to beĀ thinking about how to spread the love this holiday, starting with these pom pom heart treat bags that I’m sharing the tutorial for over at the PBteen blog. <—See you there!

DIY Valentines Day Pom Pom Heart Treat Bags

DIY pom pom heart treat bagSerious question for you guys…. does anyone like the taste of conversation hearts? Ā I imagine their consistency is the same asĀ eating chalk. Ā I consider them the candy corn of Valentine’s Day- nice to look at, but not to eat. Ā I was thinking about this when I was deciding on which candy to get for this project, and while conversation hearts would have been cute, I’d rather eat M&M’s. Ā We’ve already made it half way through a big bag. Ā Edible props areĀ better when they’re chocolate <3.

If you’re still here, go visit the PBteen blogĀ for the DIY! Ā And/or you can stay here and chat with me about how conversation hearts do not taste good, whatever you wanna do~

    1. Haha yes! Those first 1 or 2 are because you can’t resist the cuteness but then you realize they don’t taste that good. Not weird at all, I totally get it.

    1. Thanks, Aileen! I just realized this is my first time using pom poms, which is crazy considering how much I love them!

  1. Super cute treat bag, I love anything where pom pom’s are involved.
Here in the UK we call them “love hearts” and I do kind of like them – they are very sickly sweet though and so I can’t manage more than 1 or 2 at a time!

    1. Thanks, Julie! I’m the same with pom poms ;).
I like the name of “love hearts” way better. How cute. They are kind of sickly sweet, yea! Accurate way of putting it.

  2. I’ve never considered adding pom poms to bags before but I absolutely love how these turned out! Such a great project, thanks for sharing. I’ve included your tutorial in my Valentine’s Day DIY Project Roundup today :)
